Visitors are Welcome at Davenport Golf Club

Davenport Golf Club and its members take pride in welcoming visitors to our club.

You are welcome any day of the week at Davenport, subject, of course, to tee time availability. Wednesday and Saturday are the main Club competition days.

We are justifiably proud of our course and facilities, and we hope you’ll enjoy them, and your time with us - both on the course and in the Clubhouse.

For the benefit of all, both members AND guests, we ask everyone to comply with the etiquette and guidelines outlined on this page below. We hope you’ll feel like a member for the day – and that you’ll come and join us again.

Club Etiquette

Information on tees of the day, temporary local rules, course works or anything else that may affect play will be clearly displayed on the notice boards around the outside of the Clubhouse. Please do check before you tee-off.

The 1st tee is behind the Pro Shop. Check that the fairway is clear before teeing off.

By the green, follow the path on the left around the back of the 1st green to the 2nd tee.

Holes 1-4 are on the clubhouse side. From the 4th green, head down the entrance drive and cross over the road to play holes 5-13 , before heading back over to the Clubhouse side to complete your round with holes 14-18.

Please repair all pitch marks. Any divots on fairways must be replaced. Please use the sand/seed mix in the boxes provided on each tee to repair divots in the teeing area.

If using a buggy, follow the route using the instructions provided keeping to paths where they are available.

Please do not take trolleys between greens and adjacent bunkers or onto teeing areas.

Please try to avoid slow play as this can lead to frustration. Be mindful of those behind you – ideally, call faster players/smaller groups through if possible. 4 hours should be sufficient for a 4-ball to complete their round.

Thank you and we hope you enjoy the course.
